  • Home, for the Very First Time

Casey and her son, Christopher, are a true story of hard work and success. A few years ago, Casey arrived in Denver in need of help. She knew she wanted to make a change in her life but was not sure where to turn. With the help of various non-profits, she landed on her feet. She was able to find a job, find a place to live and start saving. Casey moved into our Brunetti Lofts program last year and in December 2013, she purchased her very first home for she and Christopher.
  • Quarters for Kids

For 25 years, local students have been raising money to support the many homeless children staying at the VOA’s Brandon Center for battered women and children through Quarters for Kids, a school-based program. Over the last two decades, area students have proven that it is possible to make a difference with only quarters. Through many different and creative fundraisers, Denver students have raised over $500,000 in quarters. This year marks the 25th anniversary of Quarters for Kids, and all schools are invited to choose a day, a week, or even an entire month to educate students on the current state of hunger and homelessness in our community and raise quarters to help feed those children who start their day in the Brandon Center.
