Basket of Joy is Saturday, December 13! Started in 1988 by Denver Post Columnist Woody Paige, the annual event delivers fruit baskets and handmade cards to seniors during the holiday season. Last year, over 5,500 baskets were delivered to seniors in the Denver Metro Area! We are looking to make this year even better, and we need your help! We need some volunteers to deliver baskets to seniors. You can make someone's Holiday season with one special gift.
Adopt A Family is in need of donors for the Holiday season. We have many families in our programs in need of basic items for the Holidays, and many families we anticipate who will be spending the Holidays with us. Many of Volunteers of America's programs are last resorts for families in need, so we want to make sure these families still feel loved during their time of need.
Find out what we are up to and how we are working with our community partners to make a difference across Colorado. Volunteers of America has over 50 programs statewide and we are committed to helping the population's most vulnerable in any way we can.
