The Outstanding Foundation Award from
the Volunteers of America Colorado Branch
is given annually to a foundation that has
contributed greatly to benefit people helped
bythe Volunteers of America in Colorado.

Bohemian Foundation

The support from the Bohemian Foundation has been instrumental in assisting Volunteers of America’s Northern Colorado Services meet the needs of seniors in the community through collaborative efforts with other non-profit organizations. The Bohemian Foundation funding has enabled our partnership with Fort Collins Meals on Wheels to provide home delivered meals effectively and efficiently. Most recently, the foundation supported Volunteers of America’s efforts to work with five non-profits to increase the number of adult mentors for at risk youth. Both efforts are moving forward and expanding. The Bohemian Foundation’s focus on youth and agency collaboration has provided Volunteers of America to strengthen its bonds in the Larimer County community and provide an overall better service to those most in need.

Max Martinez - MAX
MAX

For 20 years, Max Martinez, founder
of MAX, an exquisite clothing store in
Denver, has been actively engaged in
raising funds for a wide range of
charitable causes across the Denver community. The MAX Fashion Show
has carved out an enviable reputation
for a breath-taking show, featuring the
hottest styles and exquisite fashions
for women and men. Volunteers of

the season’s hottest shows, MAX and

CBS Outdoor – Dan Scherer

In today’s fast-paced world, bursting
with electronic and visual images,
charities like Volunteers of America
struggle to get noticed. Unlike
corporations, Volunteers of America
does not have the capacity to purchase
publicity on the open market.
Thanks to the tremendous generosity
and expert guidance of Dan Scherer and CBS Outdoor, Volunteers of America has
made great strides in extending our brand and image across the Front Range.
Over the past three years, CBS Outdoor has provided thousands of dollars in billboard and bus shelter advertising space at no charge to promote Volunteers of America’s brand image and vital human service pro-grams.
Chief among the promotions provided
by CBS Outdoor were:

• A major billboard cross promotion with
Frontier Airlines highlighting their support of
Volunteers of America’s Meals on Wheels
program;
• Donation of billboards advertising the
“Runnin of the Green” Lucky 7 K race;
• Donation of advertising space at bus
shelter across the metro area featuring
Volunteers of America’s services to the community;
• Securing donated production of billboard
messages from vendors associated with CBS Outdoor.

The contribution made by CBS Outdoor has provided an invaluable service to the people in Colorado served by Volunteers of America. The expert guidance and generous gift of advertising space has supported many fundraising activities. With increased aware-ness, fundraising messages find more fertile ground, thanks to the image promotion and branding provided by CBS Outdoor.
