America Colorado Branch is given annually to a
foundation that has contributed greatly to benefit
people helped by the Volunteers of America in
Colorado.
Colorado Health Foundation
The support of the Colorado Health Foundation has been instrumental
in assisting Volunteers of America in launching the
Steps to Healthier Aging project in Denver. This
evidence-based wellness promotion program works to
improve the health
of at-risk older adults through diet and physical
activity.
The Foundation’s generous funding has enabled a firm base to be
established for this new program so that
participants can gain the knowledge and the tools to
make healthy lifestyle changes that help them to
maintain or improve their health, independence and
quality of life. |

The Integer Group

About a year and one-half ago, The Integer Group undertook designing a
major marketing campaign to build the image of
Volunteers of America in the community. Since then,
the creative energy of The Integer Group has been
unleashed and brought to fruition a marketing
campaign that is the envy of every non-profit, and
equal to the marketing campaign of any Fortune 500
company! Starting with a comprehensive review of all
printed materials, the Integer team gave hundreds of
hours of creative time to come up with a descriptor
line that accurately tells the community what
Volunteers of America does:
“we feed we shelter we support
we care”
The simple beauty of this descriptor has provided the base for a focused
number of striking images and moving prose that have
been the focal point of an ongoing outdoor
advertising campaign. The team from The Integer
Group has embraced the concept of telling the story
of individuals and families helped by Volunteers of
America with fresh eyes, taking real life stories
and making them come alive in the eyes of the
community. |
