The Junior Volunteer Program is for teens interested in improving their community through service.  Not only can you volunteer individually, but we welcome groups as well.  Our program offers service-learning opportunities for groups with the help of the VOA staff.  These people take the groups on excursions to discover why service is needed and to provide service.

In service learning, the social issues of our community are discussed so that the Junior Volunteers may come away with an enlightened perspective.  So that’s pretty much what we’re about.  This program was created only five months ago, so we’re open to new ideas, via the online suggestion box.

In order to be a Junior Volunteer, you must…

Be between the ages of 13-17.
Complete the necessary paperwork including application, parental consent, and two letters of recommendation.
Attend an Orientation.
