When you volunteer individually or with a group of people the range of activities varies a lot. If you are an individual who wants to volunteer with a group and you don’t have a group of people who want to volunteer with you, you may sign up as an individual and mention that you want to participate in a group activity. As always with the Junior Volunteer Program participants are between the ages of 13-17, and are always accompanied by a person over 18 to help them out. The ratio for kids to adults in group activities is 8:1 and Volunteers of America can only provide 1 adult. There are many opportunities for groups and even more for individuals.

Although most of the group activities are located in the Downtown Denver metro area, there are many individual activities located across Colorado.  We have divided the activities into Group and Individual Activities:

Fill-a-bag: This activity enables your group to fill a bag with personal care items from a wish list supplied from a client and served by Volunteers of America. Bags are provided.
The Handyman Program: This program Looks for volunteer groups to conduct home Safety Assessments to ensure low-income seniors are living in a safe environment. Training is provided.
