| The Volunteers of
America Gilpin/Clear Creek Transportation Program provides
coordinated transportation services for residents of Gilpin and
Clear Creek Counties who are 60 years of age and older. |

Transportation to/from medical and
dental offices and clinics,
including individual appointments. |
|
• |
Grocery shopping trips to/from local
food stores. |
|
• |
Transportation to/from the post office,
nursing homes, polling
places, funeral services, volunteering locations, etc. |

• |
Trips
to/from congregate dining centers. |
|
• |
Transportation to/from medical and
dental appointments that
exceed ten miles one-way and cross a county boundary. |
In
Gilpin County, Volunteers of America also provides Congregate
Nutrition Services for the elderly at the Gilpin County
Community
Center (Monday and Wednesday), and Meals on Wheels to
eligible older adults who are homebound throughout the county.

In
Clear Creek County, Volunteers of America also provides
Congregate Nutrition Services for the elderly at the Project
Support Senior Center (Monday through Friday) and the Georgetown
Community Center (Wednesday only), and Meals on Wheels to
eligible older adults who are homebound throughout the county.
