    Bannock Youth Center serves youth between the ages of 16-24.

  • Brandon Safe Haven

    Brandon Safe Haven is a 24-bed shelter for homeless women in crisis.

  • Durango Community Shelter

    Volunteers of America's Durango Community Shelter serves homeless children, women and men with comprehensive residential shelter services. Volunteer positions include maintenance projects and cooking.

  • Family Motel

    The Family Motel provides emergency housing to homeless families and individuals.

  • Family Volunteer Program

    The Volunteers of America Family Volunteer Program provides families the opportunity to positively impact our local community while spending quality time together and strengthening communication and bonds between parents and kids. Families with children of all ages can volunteer for one of our ongoing opportunities or at our monthly family volunteer projects.

  • Fort Collins Office Volunteer

    Help us deliver all these important services for seniors by supporting us in the office.

  • Foster Grandparent Program

    The Foster Grandparent program offers opportunities for low income seniors to spend quality time with young people.

  • Handyperson

    Provide minor home repairs and safety modifications for limited-income seniors in Adams, Arapahoe, Denver, Douglas, Jefferson, Gilpin and Clear Creek counties.

  • Healthy Aging

    This program's focus includes improved nutrition, physical activity, fall prevention, and chronic disease self management specifically for seniors.

  • Head Start Assistant

    Head Start is a pre-kindergarten program for children 3 to 5 years of age.

  • Irving Street Women’s Residence

    Office and Activities volunteer opportunities at this residence for chronically homeless women.

  • Market Meals

    Pack and/or deliver a monthly package of food to homebound seniors.

  • Meals on Wheels

    Volunteer groups and individuals are needed to deliver the noon meal to homebound seniors.

  • Northern Colorado Caring Companion Volunteer

    Caring Companions – Warm hearts with your kindness. Allow family caregivers to take a much-needed break by visiting with their loved-one in their home. Volunteers visit with older adults, providing friendship only – no medical assistance. Opportunities throughout Larimer County. Very flexible schedule.

  • Northern Colorado Dining Centers Volunteer

    Meal Servers – Serve noontime meals to Seniors at sites throughout Larimer County.

  • Northern Colorado Grocery Program Volunteer

    Grocery Delivery Drivers – Make a difference in the lives of homebound seniors and adults with disabilities by delivering their groceries once a week. Our clients can no longer drive to get their own groceries – volunteers are a big support, bringing them what they need each week…including a friendly face to visit for a little while. Delivery is Thursdays between 11:30am and 1pm. Volunteers may serve as subs or regular volunteers.

  • Northern Colorado Handyman Volunteer

    Handy people – Make it possible for elders and individuals with disabilities keep living in their own homes by making home safety improvements (e.g. installing grab-bars, handrails, chair risers, wheelchair ramps, etc.). Opportunities throughout Larimer County. Very flexible schedule.

  • Northern Colorado Meals on Wheels Volunteer

    Meals on Wheels Delivery Drivers – Make a difference in the lives of homebound seniors in Fort Collins by delivering a batch of nutritious frozen meals once a week. Our Seniors are able to live in their own homes longer because of Meals on Wheels. Volunteers may serve a subs or regular volunteers.

  • Northern Colorado RSVP Volunteer Program

    RSVP is for those 55 and older who want to give back.

  • Office Volunteer

    Volunteers are needed to assist with a variety of tasks around the office.

  • Snow Buddies Volunteer

    Snow Buddies pairs volunteers with seniors in the Metro Area to shovel walks. Volunteers are paired with seniors within a two-mile radius of their home.

  • Sunset Park Senior Center

    Opportunities to assist with regular actives at the Senior Center.

  • Rapid ReHousing Search Assistant

    Volunteer for the Housing Stabilization Program, based on the national Housing First model, and help VOA clients transition out of homelessness and/or crisis into rental housing.

  • Retired Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) Denver

    RSVP is for those 55 and older who want to give back.

  • Veteran Services Center Volunteer Peer Navigator

    Peer Navigators (PN’s) will welcome veteran clients to the Veteran Services Center (VSC) and guide them through the intake process by facilitating communication with the VSC staff. 2-4 hour shifts available M-F 9am to 4pm.

  • Youth Action Team

    The Denver Action Team a high-school service club for students in the Denver Area. Action Teams work with the Major League Baseball Player's Trust to help their community. Action Team Volunteers help with Rake Up, Colorado!, organize events for our Head Start Programs, work with our Literacy Day and much, much more.

  • Youth Volunteer Program

    Groups of youth (ages 11-17) can volunteer in a variety of our programs. Youth volunteers can work with children in Head Start schools, help the homeless, assist homebound seniors, and much more.
