Volunteers of America Announces Lauren Alaina as Headliner for Western Fantasy Gala

ACM Award-Winning Star to Help Celebrate “Women of the West” at 26th Annual Event

Denver — The annual Western Fantasy gala will celebrate its 26th year on Saturday, October 12 at the National Western Complex. Event Chairs Charlie and Judy McNeil, along with the Western Fantasy Steering Committee, are excited to announce that Lauren Alaina will be the star entertainer at this year’s Women of the West themed gala.

Lauren Alaina captured America’s hearts when she competed on Season 10 of American Idol. In 2017, Alaina followed up her No. 1 debuting first album, “Wildflower,” with the release of the critically acclaimed “Road Less Traveled.” The album landed on multiple end-of-year “Best Of” lists and it became the top-streamed female country album release of the year. In 2018, she was honored as the ACM New Female Vocalist of the Year and received her second CMT Music Award for Collaborative Video of the Year with her childhood friend, Kane Brown.

“We are thrilled to have Lauren Alaina join us at this year’s Western Fantasy,” said Dave Schunk, CEO and President of Volunteers of America Colorado. “Lauren’s empowering messages through her music are a perfect match for our Women of the West theme this year. Talented artists like Lauren Alaina help make this an unforgettable experience while we raise funds for Volunteers of America’s many vital human service programs in our state.”

Alaina will take the stage on Saturday, October 12 at the National Western Complex following a cocktail hour featuring the Trice jewelry venue, a delicious dinner from Epicurean Catering Group, and a live auction. The event starts at 5:45 p.m. and guests can expect the musical performance to start around 8 p.m.
