Guild Projects

"Women Helping Women"

MOTHER’S DAY IN DECEMBER

This is a special day of pampering for women who don’t get to feel special very often! The day includes hair-styling, manicures, make-up, new clothing, food, and music! A holiday treat for the residents and joy for the volunteers. Join us!

BACK-TO-SCHOOL BARBECUE

Every year the Guild hosts a Back-to-School event with food, games, and all the supplies that a student would need to go back to school. Providing these supplies to women and their children who are experiencing homelessness relieves a huge burden from their already full plates and the fun event gives them a much needed moment to relax.

MONTHLY DINNERS AT IRVING STREET WOMEN'S RESIDENCE

On the fourth Wednesday of each month, the Guild provides a home-cooked meal for the women living at Volunteers of America's long term women's shelter.

RED WINE & SEAFOOD

A long-standing tradition of enjoying a night of fun, extraordinary wine, and delicious seafood pairings! The event features a silent auction and directly benefits women in our community who are facing homelessness or are financially struggling to get the food, shelter and caring support they need.

SERVICE WITH STYLE

A fundraising luncheon honoring a local philanthropist who has made a difference in our community. The luncheon features an amazing three-course meal, a fashion show, and exclusive pop-up shops from local favorite boutiques.

MEMBERSHIP RECEPTION

A time to gather together, socialize, and get caught up on what the Guild has been doing.

THE COLLECTORS

A committee dedicated to making sure clothing is availability for all served by Volunteers of America. Please contact Sandee Walling 303-221-6598 or sjwall05@comcast.net for more information.

WISHLIST BRIGADE

This committee assists in obtaining specific personal care items that are needed by the residents at Irving Street Women's Residence.
