Corporate Volunteerism Takes Center Stage as Waste Connections and VOA Colorado Team Up to Fight Hunger Among Veterans DENVER (April 16, 2025) – In a powerful demonstration of community collaboration, Waste Connections of Colorado delivered $7,500 worth of food to Volunteers of America (VOA) Colorado’s Veterans Service Center on April 3. Las Animas County is home to a significant veteran population, around 9% of the county’s total population, according to the Census Reporter, which is much higher than the state and national percentages and even exceeds many of its rural counterparts.
