Meeting the Need of Seniors
Volunteers of America’s Gilpin/Clear Creek Transportation Program provides transportation and meal services for residents of Gilpin and Clear Creek Counties who are 60 years of age and older.
Services include
- Transportation to and from medical and dental offices and clinics, including individual appointments
- Grocery shopping trips to and from local food stores
- Transportation to and from the post office, nursing homes, polling places, funeral services, volunteering locations, etc.
- Trips to and from Congregate Dining Centers
- Transportation to and from medical and dental appointments that exceed ten miles one-way and cross a county boundary
Gilpin County Services
- Congregate Nutrition Services for the elderly Volunteers of America also provides meals at the Gilpin County Community Center on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
- Meals on Wheels is available to eligible older adults who are homebound throughout the county.

Clear Creek County Services
- Congregate Nutrition Services is provided for the elderly in Clear Creek at the Project Support Senior Center Monday through Friday and at the Georgetown Community Center on Wednesdays.
- Meals on Wheels is available to eligible older adults who are homebound throughout the county.
