Chocolate Fantasia

Join us Thursday, September 17 at the La Plata County Fairgrounds Event Center for a community celebration of creativity and compassion—bringing together chocolate, competition, and connection to raise critical funds for Volunteers of America Colorado’s shelter programs, helping individuals and families move from crisis to stability.
Guests will enjoy chocolate creations from local chefs and community members, a silent auction, appetizers, drinks, music, and an inspiring program featuring stories from shelter guests. This unique evening brings together local restaurants, bakeries, and talented chocolatiers to showcase their most creative and decadent chocolate-inspired creations in a friendly competition judged by both a panel and event attendees.
Proceeds from Chocolate Fantasia directly support the Durango Community Shelter and the Southwest Safehouse, which provide critical services for individuals and families experiencing homelessness and those fleeing from domestic violence. At our shelters, guests receive more than a safe place to stay—they are provided daily meals, compassionate support, and personalized advocacy to help break cycles of abuse and instability.
