Help in the kitchen setting up for meal times at our Early Childhood Education Center, a preschool for limited income families serving children ages 3 to 5.
Volunteers will work with the Kitchen Coordinator to prep (warm up food), serve, and clean up for every meal and snack served on site. All meals are brought pre-prepared from Volunteers of America’s main kitchen. Children receive breakfast, lunch and snack during the school day.
Qualifications
Volunteers should be excited about working with 3 to 5-year-olds and teachers, able to inventory and take temperature measurements, and have experience in a kitchen setting. **Bilingual (English and Spanish)- mandatory. Experience working with 3 to 5-year-olds or working or volunteering in a kitchen is a plus!
Schedule/Time Commitment
Volunteer shifts are available Monday through Thursday, 4 hours each, between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Volunteers can determine how many shifts a month they would like to take on.
