Volunteers of America Sinton’s Sanctuary provides 24-hour shelter and comprehensive support services for women aged 60 and older who are experiencing homelessness.
The program offers three nutritious meals daily, case management, life skills education, recreational activities, and assistance navigating mental and physical health care services. Housing-focused case management supports each resident in identifying personal goals and developing a service plan with clear steps toward achieving a permanent exit from homelessness.
To support long-term stability, the program emphasizes skill building and empowerment, helping residents care for themselves, maintain a clean and healthy living environment, participate in household responsibilities, engage in productive daily activities, and foster a sense of community through mutual support.
Referrals to the Sinton’s Sanctuary program for senior women can be made by community agencies. A representative from the referring agency must complete and submit the referral form. For more information, please contact:
