Housing & Emergency Services – Denver Metro

Housing Children, Adults and Seniors

Every night there are over 8,000 homeless men, women and children in Colorado.

For over 100 years Volunteers of America’s Colorado Branch has been providing food, clothing, shelter and numerous programs for Colorado’s homeless population. Volunteers of America operates distinct programs offering shelter – from one night’s refuge from the streets to long-term programs providing paths to self-sufficiency.

Shelter is a fundamental human need. We recognize there are many reasons an individual or family finds themselves in need of shelter. Our program services are offered for chronically homeless individuals, the mentally ill, low-income families, those who aspire to own their own home one day, women and children seeking refuge from a domestic violence situation, and female veterans dealing with post-traumatic stress disorder and more. Our programs offer permanent, temporary and transitional residents with support services designed to foster self-sufficiency.
